Today the students decorated their t-shirts for field day.The t-shirt was sent home in a baggie with directions on how to care for it before the first “wear”.If you have any questions at all, please let me know. Please have your child wear his/her t-shirt to school on Friday. The students had a lot of fun personalizing their own shirts this morning!
Last Wednesday to honor Memorial Day, our class took part in a school-wide “Human Flag” photo. The whole school was outside and we are so very proud of how well the students behaved. It went off without a hitch! Easterling Studios took the photographs.I was told they will have the photo on the website for you to view and you will have the option to purchase it as well. When I receive the details about when the photo will be on the website, I will let you know! Thanks for sending in the t-shirts!

Make sure your child is wearing tennis shoes (no sandals please…..for the safety of your child).
Apply sunscreen to your child before he/she comes to school so sunburn does not occur.
Send in a water bottle with your child’s name clearly marked so he/she can carry it from station to station to keep hydrated.
Pack your child a lunch and a drink (separate from the water bottle).

Has your child told you about his/her secret pen-pal? We have been paired up with Mrs. Bennett's second grade class. Last week the students wrote and received their first letter. They have two weeks left to write letters and then our secret pen pals will be unveiled! On June 3rd, we will have a picnic lunch with Mrs. Bennett’s class and will try to guess secret pen-pals. That will be lots of fun as well! Your child will need to pack a lunch and a drink for this activity, so mark your calendar!
Our Trade Fair Last Friday was a huge success! The students did a terrific job.Everyone was blown away with the creativity displayed throughout our cafeteria.
